From the frontlines to the future: Real stories from clinical trials

Clinical trials are critical in driving innovation of treatment options forward. Yet only an estimated 7 percent of cancer patients have participated in clinical trials. While there are many reasons for low participation, there are a number of misperceptions about participating in a clinical trial. Some patients fear they will be treated as an experiment or number rather than as real humans that need the best medical care. Lilly will be hosting a panel between researchers, HCPs, and patient advocacy leaders who will discuss the realities of trials and the merits of considering a clinical trial in a treatment plan, including being a part of a groundbreaking process that can contribute to advancing the science as well as receiving quality care at many touchpoints.
